I’m a writer and brand consultant based in Los Angeles. (For context, though, I’m originally from the East Coast; I find geography is pertinent in understanding my sensibilities.)
For nearly a decade, I led brand and editorial for one of New York City’s most beloved skincare companies. I even ended up peddling its wares on QVC alongside the inimitable grande-dame, Martha Stewart—at her request!—and to this day, cannot believe it happened. Trust: I am not easily affected by anything or anyone, but Martha commands it. And most certainly deserves it.
Now, I’m invested in working with individuals whose brands or organizations prioritize inclusion and innovation. True contentedness, I’ve discovered, is in creative collaboration with purpose; I love helping brands develop identity, voice, and strategy through thoughtful storytelling.
When I’m not reading, writing, or browsing the depths of eBay for old Céline and cheeky Jean-Paul Gaultier pieces, I’m dancing. Movement informs how I see and experience the world, and no matter where I am in my life, I’m always drawn back to it. Even though I’m no longer teaching, I crave the stretch; the control. Dance is both discipline and freedom; practice and indulgence. It’s a tool for living a beautiful life, and that flexibility is the manifestation of an old Chinese proverb instilled into me by my parents. Bend, don’t break.
TL;DR—I’m inspired by everything: beauty, books, words, movement. If you’d like to work with me, e-mail me. If you find what I say interesting, take a peek at my blog. (It’s no Substack, but you can still subscribe; I’m stuck in the early aughts and at peace with it.) If you want to keep up with my objects of affection—working in beauty for over a decade has given me exacting standards—I’m contributing here as a fragrance and beauty editor.
If none of this intrigues you, c’est la vie. What is meant to be, will always be.
