1. Legend has it that Thierry Mugler’s iconic Angel had undergone 600 iterations before reaching its final, perfected form—a rather glamorous reminder that trial is part of every creative process. Even if the number is hyperbolic, it’s no less comforting to hear. All good things take time; the magic will eventually come.
2. Larchmont’s Above the Fold truly is a treasure. All frugal sensibilities seem to go out the window when I’m in front of this newsstand. Then, to sober up: a hot oat milk cappuccino at Go Get ‘Em Tiger.
3. Another indulgence that’s genuinely good for the mind, body, soul, and all that jazz. Morning walks. I’m about two years too late in discovering the activity that everyone else seemed to latch onto during the depths of confinement, but consider me converted. I’ve crossed over to the good side, Glinda.
4. Why FKA Twigs is so underappreciated, I don’t know, but she’s one of my favorite artists. I’ve been listening to “CAPRISONGS” on repeat since launch day. It’s a work of art. A woman’s anthem album. What you get up to, get ready to, live, love, learn by.
5. Dragon is one of those if you know, you know things. I finally was able to get my hands on one of their smaller cannage totes in a blood-red (this is the same silhouette, in caramel) and now wonder why I bother with designer bags at all. A basket simply does it all and works with everything; there’s no need to be precious with it either.
