Bonjour, Emmanuelle Alt

At last, Carine Roitfeld’s successor has been announced. Emmanuelle Alt. It wasn’t that surprising, really, considering how tightly knit the French Voguettes were. I’m interested in what she has in store for French Vogue—possibly an era of more androgyny as opposed to Carine’s sensual, feminine touch?

I’m still hoping for a bit of raciness and political incorrectness throughout the magazines. French Vogue is hardly safe. Or boring.

Hellooo, Emmanuelle. ‘Tis the dawn of a new era.

P.S.: To Mme. Alt: Becoming Editor-in-Chief means more responsibilities—which indubiously means more marvelous clothes. I assume you’ll need make room for an expanding collection of sharp-shouldered Balmain blazers; will you send your Isabel Marant collection my way? Merci.
