I’ve had this Kenzo tiger sweatshirt saved on my desktop for so long I nearly forgot about it until I spotted it’s green counterpart on during a much-needed Jak & Jil catch-up session. I don’t know if it’s the eighties reference (I love a well-done vintage throwback much more than the actual vintage piece itself—styles are recycled, yes, but re-done with a newer perspective that renders the “original” irrelevant; am I making sense?) or the sportswear reference (you know it’s my current art de vivre revolves around sportswear!), but I’m in love with this overpriced, two-hundred-and-something-bones top.
Leave it to me to make an odd pairing once again: a sweatshirt, sleeves rolled up to reveal a Philippe Audibert spike bracelet arm party on the left (and a chunky ring to balance it all on the right), worn over a black jersey pencil skirt and paired with d’orsay pointy-toe pumps.
We spent a decent amount of money on that embroidery, ladies, meaning hair must be pulled back into a sleek pony or top knot to boast this tiger in all its two-hundred-something glory.
I am a woman. Here me roar.
