For this bag, I would give up Starbucks runs. Weekend treats to frozen yogurt and freshly-baked pastries. Shopping. Nutella. Chocolate, vices, et al. I would be a better person. Nicer to my brother. Swear off body-con dresses. Cross my heart and hope to die…
Just kidding. I don’t give up Starbucks or Nutella for anyone or anything. Beautiful, drool-worthy bags, inclusive. I must say, however, that I’m seriously contemplating the splurge* on the Yves Saint Laurent ‘Cabas Chyc’ tote as my first designer (with a capital “D”) handbag. It’s the epitome of ladylike classicism and timelessness and an homage to one of the most incredible artists in history.
Here’s to the last legs of the “Y” in Yves Saint Laurent and the most beautiful bag in the world. It’s a shame Hedi Slimane had to go all judo on us, kick of the “Yves,” and reshape the cabas. It really is.

“To tell Yves Saint Laurent’s story is to tell an extraordinary story of success and fulfillment of dreams through hard work, genius and passion. It is larger than life, deeply moving and an exceptional story – yet so universal. It is also a great love story to tell given the unique relationship him and Pierre Bergé shared,” said Lespert.

To everything in this post… Agreed!
Simple, elegant but still sexy. I love it and now consequently, also want one.

Bags and lingerie are me weakness. It’s a good thing I’m not a shoe girl, too (; x
