It’s hard to believe that we’re already at the end of January, so I write this as a reminder to continue being gentle with myself. (You should, too.)
No resolutions were made, intentionally so. One month in and I’m still soft living to ease into this new year—which ironically enough, is my only focus this year. I’m sleeping in. Bookending my days with little treats; something sweet and creamy from La La Land to start, and a lavender-mint tea blend to wind down. Cocooning myself with beautiful skincare (finished Rhode and rediscovering Shiseido: say what you will about the brand but since incorporating the Future LX balancing softener and this soft gel-cream, my skin has been plump with happiness—or is it the one too many pints of vegan pistachio gelato?). Trying new perfumes. Planning for two consecutive days at an art museum so I don’t feel rushed by the need to see it all in one visit; there’s always tomorrow.
But because tomorrow’s also not a guarantee, I’m embracing slowness. If not now, when?
. . .
Your turn. Thoughts?
