1. Changes in work have been as exciting as they are challenging. Challenge is good; I just need to up my Filofax game. A lot.
2. YogaToes are absolute must-haves for dancers and for girls who love their heels. For a few years I’ve just been using a janky toes separator—the foam ones that cost 50 cents at the drugstore—after long days, nights out, or intense dance days. They did the trick alright, but YogaToes really provide that stretch and relief. Ladies, dancers, take note: YogaToes are worth the investment. Even more so when they’re steeply discounted at just six (!) bucks at my local TJ Maxx.
3. At 23—nearing the dreaded quarter-life crisis but not quite the big middle-life one—I’m craving something different. I’m not into the concept of re-dying or chopping off my hair (practicality and professionalism win this one out) and the closest thing short of re-hauling my entire wardrobe (though ideal, it’s fiscally unsound at the moment) is re-training my part. I’ve worn the side part 95% of my life and my hair and I are both still getting used to the center part. I’m growing to appreciate how it can change my look instantly; the side part makes me look softer, more feminine, whereas the center part chisels out my face. It’s sleeker, it makes my baby face look older. (So I’ve been told.)
4. I’m struggling to write five interesting things lately. Honest truth.
5. Still super into the white nails lately. It’s not 5-free polish unfortunately, but I’d take that over baking outside in the sun. White nails = instant illusion of a nice, sans UVA/UVB damage or the nuisance that comes with self-tanning.
. . .
