On my mind is all things inexplicably feminine, and lately, my little penchant for lace-y things has turned into a bit more of a fixation than anything else. From unmentionables (the lacier the better) to tops to an entire dress. It has a tendency to go tacky—it’s one of few examples where expensive is better—and when in a bright, siren red, it’s nearly impossible to avoid branding yourself as frequent loiter of the Red Light District.
But Miranda Kerr pulls it off, and Lover does it right. Demure proportions keep it elegant and an unexpected, asymmetrical hem adds a bit of edge and modernity. I lover the contrast between a ladylike dress and a utilitarian shoe; it keeps it fresh. But what I do love most is the subtle bit of color palette roundabout with the sole of the Louboutin with red dress.
