Recently, ASOS teamed with London College of Fashion to bring a collection of one hundred [100] pieces designed by fashion’s future stars – all of which are exclusive and limited. I am quite upset for two reasons: (1) that my favorite pieces were already sold out and (2) there’s not enough moo-lah in the piggy bank for me to spend on these amazing pieces.
I will get over it, soon enough. But regardless, darlings, feast your eyes on these wondrous pieces by some of the most young, talented designers! And now, presenting the LTD 100. (I’m swooning already.)
I am o b s e s s i n g over this blazer, by Miss Tian Wang. Loving, lusting, dying, swooning, the likes. I first became aware of Asos‘ competition via Style Bubble (one of my favorite blogs, and a cult favorite, of course), in which Tian was the overrall winner (congratulations!), in which her modern take on the classic blazer had caught my eye. For one, the shape of the blazer was incredible – the cut, the fit, the shoulders, the lapels were done to perfection. And it was the first time I had ever seen digital printing – a method of hypnotic effects in creating mesmerizing patterns. Enlarge the first photo and stare for a while longer. The print is a compilation of landscape photographs, manipulated to create something unconventionally beautiful. A bit like what I imagine the universe to look like; swirls of blues, blacks, and purples. A stunning piece – Tian is under my future designer radar, without a doubt. I do hope her own collection – and this piece in particular – will be sold soon; I would love to own such unique a piece in my wardrobe. Imagine it dressed up, down, or for work. Spectacular, really.
Yet another piece already unavailable; this blazer by Lon Yin Paris Chan is gorgeous. The oversized blazer made modern with an interesting, brush-like pattern in purple. Perfect as a coat or a simple jacket adding interest to simple, all-black ensembles: an LBD, leggings, etc.
. . .
A sheer, printed shirtdress by Miriam Ridha. Quite the sexy piece for a night out or a date. I am currently coveting anything sheer!
I suppose my love for blazers – classic, shrunken, or oversized – has been made quite clear with the presence of now three [3] blazers on this ASOS LTD 100 wishlist of mine. The oversized version, by Cecilia Ku Wun Ting, brass belt inclusive, is particularly covetable, in that this ideal of androgynous sexiness is achieved effortlessly. I do love how it was styled for the shoot as well; over the knee socks for a kick of the inner schoolgirl with some sort of black heel.
A lovely digital print shift dress by Para Manko. Tribal urbanity with a classic silhouette; the dress itself, as well as the color palette and geometric print reminds me of a cross between Mary Katrantzou and Tina Kalivas.
One of my favorite menswear looks: Vinita Ram Nagpal‘s Ruched Back Grandad Shirt. An unconventional & modern take on the classic button down shirt. And I do love how it was styled with the black skinnies and boots.

I NEED the Cecilia Ku Wun Ting. Perhaps it’s the thigh highs, but the look reminds me of Cher’s trademark in the film “Clueless.” What an amazing piece. And, of course, the brass belt is a must! 🙂

Cafe Fashionista: Right? It’s the first thing I thought of; ah, Clueless is one of my favorite films ever!

Fabulous post! I love the first blazer – the colors are beautiful! – and the last one. It looks so oversized and comfy and the metallic belt is the perfect accessory for it.

I was so sad because I was refreshing my browser every few seconds or so on ASOS, hoping to get the LTD 100 oversized blazer with brass belt (LOVE it!), and realised it was the wrong URL/address, and missed out in a matter of minutes on anything I was interested in 🙁 AMAZING stuff!
Thanks for your sweet comment, I will try my best to post asap, and if possible an outfit pic too 😉
