Choose your lover: a (bit!) coquettish, ballet pink heels with the sweetest leather bows adorning your foot, or a minimalist strappy pair of sandals in decadent dark chocolate. Croc-embossed, because the devil’s in the details. Two sweet options that live on opposite ends of the delicate shoe spectrum—and both, without hyperbole, equally comfortable.
As someone who’s spent most of her teens and early adult years living, dancing, and running around New York in heels, I can say with utmost confidence (if not authority) that Manolo Blahnik reigns supreme when it comes to comfort. (Bottega Veneta is a close second, specifically the square-toe mules or any style with their signature textured sole.) Dainty heels aren’t easy on the feet but somehow, Manolos have unlocked the world’s mystery. It’s not to say they’re like wearing a pair of Crocs—sneakers can’t even compare—but they’re wholly manageable. How else do you think Carrie Bradshaw trekked the city in heels?
