Moodboard: New Home, New Space • Soft Sensibilities
I bought a condo—and now that means I have to decorate it. The furnishing comes first, of course (I’ve done most of my staples-shopping at Ikea), but the next step is turning this new space into a home. I’m still feeling it out; I’m lucky enough where the previous owner completely redid the place before selling it, and while it’s not exactly my style, it’s work-able. It’s all white. Tons of lighting. Small, but looks a little bigger thanks to light wood floors and warm white walls. Where to start? How to begin? I’ve been saving tons of images as points of inspiration, and these are my favorites thus far. And though my aesthetic is pretty consistent, I’m at a forked road where I’m not sure who I am or what I really like. Let me explain: I gravitate towards two vibes that though similar, are different enough. One is cool (as in the color palette): tons of white, light greys, and black to ground; some sort of muted color (pink, likely); minimal texture; clean lines offset by a little bit of glam.
