A day in the life. Aimé Leon Dore before the lines start forming, McNally Jackson for books to read on the flight back to L.A., Iconic Magazines to look (and maybe touch, but definitely not buy; there’s no room in my carry-on), The Met for a dose of high-brow culture (which according to New York elitists, exists only on the East Coast), Matchaful to refuel between stops, and of course: the Met Opera to see the final performance of Christopher Wheeldon’s Like Water for Chocolate—the most beautiful ballet I’ve seen yet.
vTwenty-four hours are all you need—but even after a full itinerary, you’ll find yourself greedy for more. It’s New York, after all.
