A list of things to do, be, and remember.
I’ve had this list in my drafts for weeks now; written but unfinished, in the back of my mind and never quite ready to share. Some pressing deadlines, a weekend getaway, and one seasonal Mercury Retrograde later, we’re halfway through September. A month savored, but perhaps not slowly enough—so I’m finally publishing this stream-of-consciousness post as a selfish reminder, for me.
- A weekend with just the girls—no plans, just airport pickup times
- Reading
moreagain (including finishing Heroines, finally) - All the new perfumes strewn about my apartment
- Sampling one of those bottles a day, luxuriating in fragrance and mood
- Peaches and whipped feta from Crossroads Kitchen
- Afternoon naps (the most delicious in lingering summer heat)
- Green figs, juicy plumcots
- Giant art books acquired throughout this summer
- Sitting on the floor, flipping through these gorgeous tomes—like Goodbye Picasso
- Slowness soon—an inbox with just one unread message! (Bliss.)
- Interviewing perfumers for a peek into their process; the artistry is unmatched
- Elsa Peretti everything
- Midday coffee walks
- Evenings of nothingness
All savored with gratitude.
. . .
xx
