Perhaps you remember Susie Bubble’s period of obsession with the color coral. Revisiting these posts of hers has revived my love for that color – after all, coral is the grown-up, sophisticated version of pink. A dash of orange, a bit of red, a touch of pink. Perfection, I think. And perhaps I love it so because it looks quite good on me (if I may say so myself!). Oh Marni. Why must you tempt me with your delectably colored shoes? Already I’ve fallen in love with a number of your wedges, and now you mock me with these crossed slingbacks. Oh, and my dear Alber Elbaz, you must know of my ridiculous, OCD-like (or sans the -like?) habit/obsession of matching my bags perfectly with my ensembles. Lanvin’s Mini pop bag (Net-a-porter.com, $850) in a coordinating pinky-coral satin shoulder bag, complete with a delicate set of silver chains, would indeed finish off any outfit with the aforementioned Marni’s.
