Just some approximation of what I wish I was wearing right now. There’s nothing like a good mix of sportswear and feminine luxe—hence the title—that doesn’t read as a little off in the best way possible. This is personal opinion of course; pumps and track sweats are hardly an original pairing by any means, but it’s also not everyone’s cup of tea. What’s crazy to you is chic to me!
This is what I’ve been envisioning the past few weeks. A slightly loose, sheer black tank half-tucked into these amaaazing Adidas Originals track bottoms. (Let’s just say I’ve been stalking the (insert explicative here) out of this marled grey’s black counterpart to no avail. I’m devastated; black would have ideal. That said, however, I do like the way grey looks above—she’s currently en route to my doorsteps!) I have quite the soft spot for sportswear brands and logos (Adidas and Nike being my favorites) despite my usual wardrobe choice—they’re classic, firstly, and are also reminiscent of my dance days…
The cuffed ankles are key to pulling off wearing sweats with heels: scrunch the legs up ever-so-nonchalantly to an ankle-length, and slip into a pair of pointy-toe pumps, preferably in patent to keep things sharp and edgy from tip to toe. A gorgeous vintage fur coat (also on the hunt for the perfect one—suggestions, ladies?) thrown over the top, plus a few beautiful silver pieces brings luxe into the picture.
