My first statement ‘designer’ purse was a little Coach shoulder bag in silver cowhide—and god, how I loved (and wore) that thing to death. The other girls in my grade were toting their monogrammed Coaches; I’d wanted the plain metallic one.

To this day my taste hasn’t changed. I love a silver statement bag. I love a simple, unobtrusive monogram. And I love a good discount on a designer bag.
