Because in this life of instant gratification, 140-character Tweets, and an infinite list of materialistic and other physical desires, we often lose sight of the little, seemingly insignificant things which make us smile and light our hearts up. A bit of gratitude and reflection is always, always good for the soul. This, my darlings, is how to be pretty.

- Going to the gym everyday for an hour for a bit of cardio and lots, and lots of stretching; the high on endorphins post-gym is incredible! I’m exponentially happier and somehow more productive as well. I’ve gone from a bum to a gym rat—I encourage you all do the same.
- Neon-colored sports bras (from Target!) + bikinis
- Foreign Tongue
- Gorgeous, sunny weather
- Dancing
- An entire playlist of R&B’s smoothest—and sexiest—voices: Usher, Mario, Miguel Jontel, Chris Brown. And my latest favorite? An up-and-coming artist from Sweden, Chris Mhina.
- Brand new books, stacked in the order to be read
- Old books and that old book scent, to be treasured
- Perusing the endless shelves at my library
- Receiving packages in the post
- Smiles from across the room and eye contact that never breaks
- Knowing my best friends aren’t just my sisters, but my soulmates
- Walking without aim, for the sake of fresh air, wandering, and taking in everything around me.

What are you grateful for? Tell me the things that make you smile, your heart skip, the things that get you giddy with joy and excitement. Happy Monday!
