Inspired by the lovely Gala Darling, whose undefeatable positivity in all things is contagious. Her little stories & ideas are just so adorable; who wouldn’t love a girl with hot pink hair?
So here goes. My rendition of “Things I Love Thursday”, L.C. style, yours truly. Also a tribute to Thanksgiving – a holiday not just about tasty foods & eating our little hearts out (mmm), but of giving thanks.
♥ I love Thanksgiving. It’s not just the food I love – but it’s a day that allows my entire family to sit down together, and just, well, catch up on everything or anything we might have missed during the busy-ness of our school/work consumed lives.
♥ Knowing that it’s one day closer to the weekend.
♥ Making lists. Yes, it sounds a bit dorky, but I love feeling organized. Whether or not I actually accomplish what was to be done/bought/etc. on the list is another issue. Which is why TiLT-ing makes me happy 🙂
♥ Reading my newest issues of Elle, Teen Vogue, or other such magazines before I go to bed. Or, indulging in a few chapters of various books sitting on my nightstand.
♥ The smell of the fireplace when the wood is, well, emflambe. The flickering fire is just so pretty. & it makes everything just so much cozier.
♥ Reading Gala Darling’s blog, iCiNG. I can’t even describe how adorable her blog is.
♥ Listening to my ipod & have shuffle miraculously (I do think it’s fate) land on a song that fits my mood perfectly.
♥ Drinking le chocolat chaud, with crushed peppermints & a cinammon stick.
♥ Just spending a whole day relaxing. Giving myself a self-mani (with my new Chanel laquer! 🙂 ), listening to a bit of Michael Buble, & reading a good book. Some call it a waste of a day. But I beg to differ.
♥ 28 more days until Christmas!! Which, in other words = decorating the house, Christmas music, gift-buying, gift-giving, lovely soirees, and of course, making my own Christmas wishlist. I promise I was a good girl, Santa.
♥ Eating a bar of Dove “Silky Smooth” Dark Chocolate (it really is, in fact, silky smooth) and not giving a damn about its potential consequences.
♥ Writing. Whether it be blogging, or in a journal, I love it.
And I leave you with this:
“It’s like, your life is a pair of amazing, limited-edition Louboutins. You can either wear them, or just look at them.”

With the exception of using the Chanel lacquer, I could image a similar day for myself. Relaxing, having a day off, not checking the “To do” list every hour…why don’t we have a day like that here, on the other side of the ocean?:)
The quote is a good one!
Have a nice holiday!
