A list with no end in sight.
It’s no secret that Kara makes some of my most-loved bags (which includes the small backpack, classic backpack [mine is in the perfect sky blue], and the now-discontinued satchel)—so it’s no surprise that I all but dropped my phone when this dual-toned, crystal mesh bag launched today. I’m a magpie, for starters, and this hobo is as unassuming as it is over the top. It so happens to feature my two favorite colors, too.
I know I’m rarely out of loungewear these days, but isn’t this just what a grey sweatsuit needs for a little je sais quoi energy?
Puffy silhouettes are in and true, I have nowhere to go—but a girl can dream.
For the record, I’ve had these boots saved in a wishlist album on my phone for a few years now—well before it took our feeds by storm. I get the phenomenon, I understand the virality: the shape of toe, slant of the heel, rugged soles, all of it and everything about the Chloé Betty boots just makes sense.
Here’s the thing: I live in L.A. and have no business wanting rain boots. And yet…! Here we are (but to be fair: I never said this list was practical.)
Not a want, but a need. Leave it to Peter Do to create the very pieces women have dreamt of all their lives, but never knew they could have until now. I grew up watching Kim Possible and idolizing Lucy Liu in Charlie’s Angels, so lusting after this slinky, gloved number should come as no surprise.
I need another clutch like a fish needs a bicycle, but there’s something about the now-iconic Bottega Veneta pouch that’s just so addictive. True, it’s not the most practical silhouette, but it is a Mary Poppins bag that holds all and still looks good. I have one of the original ones in vanilla-white leather and she never fails to make even the most boring of outfits seem intentional, effortless, chic, etc. You know. All the good adjectives.
The theme of this round-up should be apparent by now: not only is this a list of things I (wish I c)ould buy, there’s a distinct vibe. What Would Ms. Smith Wear? (note the lack of a Very Important “r” in the prefix) is on the mind—if she had a finsta account and saved looks from the likes of Camille Charrière. Just imagine this with a pair of vintage Levi’s and yesterday’s shirt; add a spritz of perfume, throw on your mask, and voilà! A look for the ages. (And the ‘gram.)
. . .
