Window-shopping, the birthday edition.
Realistically, I probably could’ve picked up some version of this (either oversized in cut or obscenely cropped; no in-between) while I was at the (Jersey) shore this weekend, but Réalisation Par’s 90s silhouettes are bar none. This probably would’ve been cute (or extremely navel-gazing?) to wear today. Unfortunately, I forgot to add it to my cart while pre-ordering the Stephanie. Oops. (Love Réalisation, but shipping would’ve taken forever anyway.)
I’ve had these boots in my cart forever now, and what’s worse is that (1) I already have too many black boots, (2) I live in L.A. but somehow think I still need these, and perhaps most delusional of all, (3) I’m convinced that I must have all three colors in this style (black, vanilla, and butter).
I’m writing this from Jersey—so maybe the cold weather has gotten to my head.
The eyelet Maria is sold out, of course, and the wrap dress is tempting—no, taunting—me. I can’t get Mirror Palais out of my head but let’s be realistic for a moment, here: I write from home and when I’m not in front of my Macbook, I’m speedwalking to Erewhon for a smoothie that tastes like strawberry Yakult (only dairy-free and exorbitantly overpriced) or curled up on the floor reading. Pray tell: why does a girl like me need dresses like these?
(Please don’t answer. Let me dream.)
I borrowed my mom’s sneakers this week—true vintage Reeboks—and I can’t get the silhouette out of my head. (Fun fact: I actually wore them throughout middle school and college before they made their way back into the cool circuit because I loved them so much.) Is the designer collaboration equivalent necessary? No. In my cart? Somehow, yes.
Prints for Ukraine‘s contributing artists are donating their images to help raise funds that will immediately go to grassroots charities to help those suffering from this humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. You can find the works of photographers like Yelena Yemchuk, Philip-Lorca diCorcia, Juergen Teller, and so many more.
Tell me this isn’t the most beautiful bodysuit you’ve ever laid eyes on. The lilac-y, African violet burnout body is utter perfection and the delicate pearl droplets accenting each cutout—pure delight.
