. . .
After a day of traversing DC, unplowed streets and all, we did as we always do. A pie of pizza (pizza is a recurring theme in this friendship), homemade sangria (also recurring), and ‘Say Yes to the Dress’ (there’s a theme here). Sometimes there’s guac. Sometimes there’s chips. Sometimes there’s guac, chips, and pizza.
But there is always four girls and TLC.
But as much as we love stewing on couches/hotel beds (depending on where we converge) in themed onesies (yes, this happened before onesies were a real thing), we love a good girls’ night out, too. Cue hair and makeup frenzy (one a studio dancer, always a studio dancer) and outfit coordination.
I had my Dan’s Cafe cherry popped. (Unimpressed, though the squirt bottle shots are genius for keeping things spill-free. If you’re a dive bar fan or want to get your fix of bad 70s music with a side of cheap drinks, visit. I’m told it’s a DC college staple.) We went to a rooftop lounge that I can’t remember because I was so fixated on Jumbo Slice (across from the lounge on U Street). You can see my priorities here: Pizza first, especially when they come in slices so big they’re worth snapping.
Don’t even ask me if I finished the entire slice. (I did. Duh.)
