Mondays Are Fine: "We Go High" • Soft Sensibilities
I meant to write this last weekend, but didn’t for whatever reason (okay, I was lazy)—but turns out, it was better suited for today. I spent last weekend in Boston for the sole purpose of seeing my core girls again. These are women I met in high school and have never let go of since even through college, and despite being spread across the East Coast. Ideal? Not really, but I wouldn’t trade what I have with them for the world. There’s a reason why we continue to come back to each other. Comfort, sure (it’s been a decade of friendship) but you know you’ve found the one when you leave feeling uplifted and inspired. Not many people know how to give anymore—they just take, take, take—so after a day of being surrounded by bodies, I’m left feeling drained. Grey. Tired. And yet when I’m with these three incredible women, I want nothing more than to be better, do more, and watch them soar. I couldn’t be more proud of them. And they couldn’t be more proud of me. Surround yourself with women who support you, lift you,and ground you, too. When you find your tribe, it’s magic. Which leads me to this: Vote tomorrow. Vote…
