Normally, anything that shows up in my Instagram feed more than three times per scroll is a deterrent, but this time, I wasn&#x2019;t immune. Like every other girl who once lived for international Vogues and now dwells on the Internet (and its digital subspaces), I dreamed of owning a Dior Saddle the moment I laid eyes on the bag Carrie Bradshaw clutched under her arm. It wasn&#x2019;t your typical rectangular or hobo-shaped purse, but oblong and just the right amount of peculiar to catch your eye. I lost interest once its crazier iterations were snapped on the arms of celebs, but once I hit my 20s, I was sentimental for the bags of yore&#x2014;purses I lusted for, but at the time, couldn&#x2019;t afford. (If you look at my collection now, you&#x2019;ll see that most of my handbags are has-beens: no longer popular, and therefore prime in my eyes.)
