1. First order of business: Apologies, truly, if you were on the receiving end of last night’s spam featuring (late and long overdue) Fall 2022 Paris Fashion Week reviews. I know no one really cares, especially with the way news will cycle in and out these days, but I can’t help but be a little neurotic about completing self-set goals. True, I could’ve just let go and continued on, but it would’ve been a declaration that personal projects are less valuable than client-facing ones. This is something I’m actively trying to shift my mindset about because there is value—arguably even greater importance—in the personal. There’s no “tangible” reward on the other side of it, but so what? Am I any less fulfilled than when I submit a piece of work?
