The best early birthday present ever. Well, technically it wasn’t intended for my birthday. But the package, courtesy of Korcula, did arrive in close vicinity to my birthday (only a few days until Sunday, April 5th!); thus it seems only reasonable to label it as such. Thank you Lindley! It was just as beautiful as I imagined it would be, when I wrote about Korcula a while back. So imagine my joy, giddily jumping on my chair when Lindley emailed me. A few weeks later, with that same child-like excitement, I pounced upon the package. Daintily boxed with twine and natural colors – simply gorgeous and aesthetically in tune with the brand’s aura. It almost pained me to undo the bow. Oh, but the ring within beckoned me to do so (carefully). The Laura ring (available in rose gold or yellow gold at $98) is indeed as gorgeous as it looks; unbelievably delicate and dainty craftsmanship form the tiny lattice design. A bit YSL reminiscent, a la runway caged heels, but less utilitarian. The lattice ring is light, feminine – part ethereal, part mysterious, part Grecian, almost. I’ve been been wearing it for three days straight, admiring how lovely it looks…
<thumbnail_url>http://lacouturiernyc.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/korcula-laura-ring-ss-09.jpg</thumbnail_url></oembed>
