A list of things—some sweet, others sweaty, but nothing sour. How is it August already? There’s a part of me that’s grateful for the start of fall because it relieves some of the pressure of Doing Fun Things™ in summertime, but another that can’t help but mourn its nearing end. I’m not a fan of heat (though I find any temperature below 56° deplorable), don’t know how to dress in hot weather (like most women, it’s a constant battle between loving tiny things and grappling with the reality of the world we live in; the latter tends to win), and prefer my caffeinated drinks hot. Still, I love summer from the comfort of my air-conditioned apartment. Summer is for languid days, easy romances, endless nights. Fall is when reality sets back in. So, a list to celebrate and remember the best of summer, so far: Freshly washed sheets A fluffy duvet Reading in bed Reading on the floor Frixion Erasable Fineliners, for underlining poignant passages with peace of mind Perfumed packages, piled high White t-shirts Perfect denim First dates Fifth dates Midday showers Body butter Warm skin Sun-kissed Sleeping in Late-night writing Late-night phone calls Nekohama x Oishii strawberry matcha…
<thumbnail_url>https://kimberlypearl.co/blog/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/the-woman-destroyed-simone-de-beauvoir-ysl-candy-glaze-lip-gloss-balm.jpg</thumbnail_url></oembed>
