Strategic cutouts are Smith&#8217;s signature and though they&#8217;re less daring this season, the placements are still created for the brave. The color palette is beautifully presented (again, we see a trend: red, purple, and blue anchored by neutrals), and this time, it&#8217;s the textural play that leaves you wanting more. There&#8217;s a clear shift in the brand&#8217;s execution and what&#8217;s most exciting is knowing that Smith&#8217;s point of view remains intact throughout his evolution. He&#8217;s not covering his girls up, he&#8217;s being practical; it&#8217;s a fall collection, after all, and no amount of mulled cider apr\u00e9s-ski can keep you warm. To have Julia Fox open the show, though, was the ultimate statement. It&#8217;s no surprise how media (and its devotees) have tried to turn her into the internet&#8217;s next favorite meme\u2014evidence of how misogyny, including the internalized, is so deeply rooted.
