At first glance, the show seems in line with the house&#8217;s core aesthetic (soft, even in its interpretations of trends and moments), but when I read that Ian Griffiths was moved by Sophie Taeuber-Arp&#8217;s work, I couldn&#8217;t unsee the inspiration. Her very essence was infused into the clothes: the play of textures (teddy meets rip-stop, cashmere juxtaposed with silver hardware) and shapes paid homage to her legacy. Silhouettes are defined yet move with ease (Taeuber-Arp was a dancer, too)\u2014a sensibility reflected in the styling. Max Mara never disappoints. Stunning, as always.
