Revolve. Los Angeles. Miss Hadid herself! How very L.A., and perhaps the pinnacle of L.A. things I&#8217;ve been around yet. What\u00a0does one wear to something like this? I love a good going-out look as much as the next woman (something I found I can actually enjoy in my thirties; whereas in my twenties, I always felt a little too vulnerable\u2014like prey to straight men). But for events like this where I&#8217;m specifically invited as press, I feel compelled to wear a simpler, often monochromatic, look. I&#8217;m not talent, and I don&#8217;t want (or need) to be perceived in any capacity. I take comfort in blending into the background, particularly because I attend these affairs solo. Slipping in and tiptoeing out sans disruption is crucial.
