Nothing to wear<\/em>, typical of the closet-full-of-things-but-hate-it-all syndrome. I pull hangers our haphazardly with half-asleep eyes. Try on a few options, get frustrated or bored\u2014whichever comes first\u2014and decide I’ll sweat instead.<\/p>\n Half an hour of Pilates and a shower later, I refresh with a fruit smoothie.\u00a0 S l u r p . Mm<\/em>. Glides easily down my mouth to Mario singing the soundtrack to my typical mornings. I dance a little in my bra and underwear like little girls would sing into their hair brushes; R&B makes a woman feel sexy<\/strong>. No makeup on; I’m already late. Fantastic<\/em>.<\/p>\n (Note to self: Wardrobe streamlining and re-vamp desperately<\/em> needed; why is it that none of what I own aligns with who I’ve become?)<\/p>\n So I reach for my trustworthy boots, black pants and floaty blouse (perhaps a little on the sheer side, but warrants a much-needed breeze in a lecture hall packed with sweaty college kids).
