It&#8217;s been hard learning\u00a0to give myself a break. I have my rare epiphanies where I can pull myself out before I start sinking, but it&#8217;s hard. So, to cope, I&#8217;m shopping more than I ever have. Do I advise it? Not unless you&#8217;ve been a saver most of your life, but retail therapy is a thing for a reason. I&#8217;m not sure that money can buy happiness, but it&#8217;s pretty damn close. (I like surround myself with books and pretty things, OK?)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. My <a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/philofaxy-personal-chameleon-filofax-organizer\/\" target=\"_blank\">Filofax<\/a>\u00a0has been my saving grace. Fine, fine, <em>rephrase<\/em>:\u00a0I&#8217;m mildly obsessed with having my life organized neatly in a little,\u00a0on-the-go binder. You win. There&#8217;s great comfort in list-making, pre-planning, and checking off to-do boxes. Life (work, personal, dance) has been 50 shades of busy lately, and having everything written down helps reassure that I\u00a0<em>can<\/em> do it all&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8230;as long as I don&#8217;t sleep.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. While I&#8217;ve yet to detox my\u00a0<em>self<\/em>, I&#8217;ve detoxed my living quarters top to bottom. Wall to wall (cue <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-MXOspWx7ic\" target=\"_blank\">Chris Brown<\/a>). Every drawer, every corner, no crevice left untouched. Wardrobe editing could have been a tad more ruthless to be honest, but in whole, I&#8217;m pretty pleased with myself. My <a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/tag\/bookshelf\/\" target=\"_blank\">bookshelf<\/a>\u00a0makes me happy, my closet makes me excited, my vanity makes me\u00a0<em>want<\/em> to get up and get ready, my lingerie collection makes me squeal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It&#8217;s the little things that count the most. Your living space\u2014especially if you&#8217;re a creative soul\u2014is paramount to happiness and sanity, I&#8217;ve found, and\u00a0doing something as simple as sweeping makes me feel calm immediately. Deep-cleaning is therapeutic. Doing it in 4.5 inch heels makes it a workout. It&#8217;s like doing hot yoga\u00a0<em>sans<\/em> the sweat and intake of strangers&#8217;\u00a0CO<sub>2.<\/sub><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelinebyk.com\" target=\"_blank\">The Line by K<\/a>\u00a0is everything, everything,\u00a0<em>everything<\/em>. I want to live in Karla&#8217;s pieces; I have every item (save the two sold out dresses my heart THROBS for) and two of the trousers. Seriously, though. These are <em>not<\/em>-your-ordinary basics and quality, as expected, is top-notch. I&#8217;m super into brands that I believe in: this one is worth the investment. #notsponsored #checkmycreditcardbill<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. Two weeks until a new routine is debuted! I&#8217;m nervous, I&#8217;m stressed, I&#8217;m excited. I love this piece, I love the women I perform with.
