I’ve had my mind set on living in Toronto years before\u00a0Cape Breton offered Americans\u00a0refuge on their island if Trump won the election<\/a>. The only thing keeping me back up until now* was the cold; if only winters weren’t so brutal\u00a0(and my bones so brittle); I’d move to Canada in a heartbeat.<\/p>\n

It’s been a while since my last trip. School, life, work\u2014the usual suspects\u2014got in the way, but with Saks’ two new store openings in Toronto<\/a>, Canada was meant to be.\u00a0I set out bright and early to the airport. Passport out. Backpack on. Carry-on a-rollin’. Accompanied by my best friend to make sure I was properly caffeinated and tucked safely on board. Between the incredible vegan options and graffiti murals down every other alley, it’s hard\u00a0not\u00a0<\/em>to fall in love with the city.<\/p>\n

Both Saks Fifth Avenue<\/a>\u00a0locations were gorgeous, as to be expected. I ogled and swooned until I could no longer<\/em><\/del>\u00a0was called away to host the trainings. That said, being the early bird I am, I had\u00a0plenty<\/em>\u00a0of time to gush over bags and beauty bits\u00a0while trying\u00a0to “find” my way through the store. And\u00a0the renowned shoe department! (It was conveniently located right across the cosmetics department, if you’re ever in want of visiting the Sherway Gardens store.) I may or may not have spent the majority of the PK staring at a pair of suede Jimmy Choo lace-ups.<\/p>\n

And I’m not even a shoe girl.<\/p>\n
