Just started packing for my trip to Greece and I can’t tell you how overwhelmed I’m feeling about being away for two weeks.<\/p>\n

Two. Whole. Weeks.<\/p>\n

Packing is the easy part. (I’m Type A when it comes to prepping and organizing; it’s not often that I give myself a pat on the back for anything, but I do\u00a0<\/em>pride myself in thinking. of. everything.) It’s being away from responsibilities that gives me major anxiety. There’s so<\/em> much going on at work; we’re starting a new season for NJ Sensual Touch<\/a>; I’m directing a new ladies’ styling team soon (!); I’m in midst of real estate limbo… and yes, I’m stressing about the fact that my body isn’t where I want it to be.<\/p>\n

What I have to remind myself, though, is that I deserve this vacation. I’ve worked\u00a0hard (and non-stop) since my first internship and now I’m at a place\u00a0I should be proud of. I’m going to a beautiful place with my best friend. Separating work from my personal life is paramount when it comes to maintaining sanity (especially<\/em> if I just wrote over 70,000 words in the past three weeks alone!). And who am I to let my insecurities get in the way of enjoying such a magical experience?<\/p>\n

Bikinis, check. Towels, check. Razor<\/a>, check. Clothing…\u00a0working on it<\/em>. Beauty, in the bag. In fact, all the contents of my face\u2014including skincare and makeup\u2014fit neatly into two Glossier<\/a> pouches. If that doesn’t make minimalists hearts happy, I’m not sure what will.<\/p>\n
