What to do when you’re in Mykonos<\/strong>: Stay at the Apanema Resort<\/strong><\/a>, an award-winning boutique hotel that’s  s t u n n i n g  and provides next-level service. The view is incredible, the room itself is a dream, and that infinity hot tub is a godsend after a day of dancing on the beach. Nammos<\/a><\/strong> <\/strong>and Kalua<\/a> <\/strong>are musts if you want some solid beach-side partying and sick music, but keep in mind that unless you have a table or a VIP booth, you’ll be bumping-and-grinding (and not necessarily the good kind) with everyone. Opt for Rakkan<\/strong><\/a> if you want a zen experience. Beds are 50 \u20ac and drinks start at 14\u20ac, but it’s worth it. Especially<\/i> if you’re hungover or not the party animal type. There’s plenty of restaurants to grab lunch at when you’re by the sea, but Solymar<\/a><\/strong> and Kuzina<\/a><\/strong> take the cake. Grab a slice at Blu Lounge<\/strong> if you want something quick (but delicious!) served with some high-speed Wi-Fi.<\/p>\n

Make friends at night, or go out with a big group of people. Bars, clubs, and lounges are basically elbow-to-elbow in Mykonos, so you’re bound to find a place you like. There’s a few tourist-y places that can drive a girl insane (think fratty basement party vibes with the same people, just on a different continent), so don’t be afraid to move around until you find a place you like. 9 Muses<\/strong> was  my absolute favorite\u2014the DJs were incredible\u2014but Dome <\/strong>was sick too. Pop into 4711 <\/strong>for live Greek music, and grab a basket of fresh fries (or souvlaki for my omnivores) at 8 a.m. before you start your walk home.<\/p>\n

Save one day to do the tourist-y things. Explore the main town, do some window shopping, but be sure to stop by E-Naus<\/a><\/strong>, a gorgeous boutique that sells handmade jewels, handcrafted marble chessboards, and more. Visit the Windmills of Mykonos<\/strong> and the Church of Panagia Paraportiani<\/strong>. Grab a table by any one of the seaside restaurants for their fresh catch of the day (or a fig salad, if you’re a vegetarian\/vegan), but be warned: during high-tide, you will<\/em> get spritzed.<\/p>\n
