It&#8217;s easily one of my top 10 favorite places (both then and now) even if just for the memories and endless square footage of inspiration. Ikea was the place\u2014<em>is\u00a0<\/em>the place\u2014of affordable attainability. No matter where or how big\/small the space, Ikea brings possibility. And Swedish meatballs. And amazing desserts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So. I may or may not have spent seven hours there on Saturday. It was amazing, definitely exhausting, but another trip for the memories. It&#8217;s been years since I&#8217;ve spent that much time (let alone half a day) with my parents. And you know what? It wasn&#8217;t half bad. Granted, I lost my patience at times, but just seeing how much my parents cared about helping me make my first house a\u00a0<em>home<\/em> (and how much my dad knew my aesthetic to a\u00a0<em>T<\/em>) was really worth butting heads at times. I&#8217;m so,\u00a0<em>so<\/em> grateful to have them, and though I&#8217;m the worst at showing them I&#8217;m forever indebted to them for giving me all that I ever needed and\u00a0<strong>more<\/strong>, I hope to return the favor one day. Hey ma, dad\u2014thanks for loving me. Even more thanks for putting up with me.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. I&#8217;m still on about Ikea because Ikea is the shit. Give me minimalist, give me modern, give me Swedish goodness\u00a0at such great prices. Some of my favorite finds include: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/60332285\/\">rose-tinted glasses<\/a> and a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/20331966\/\">matching carafe<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/70245339\/?query=BEST%C3%85+BURS+Desk\">glossy white desk<\/a> I&#8217;m using as a kitchen table, this <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/50038213\/\">massive wall mirror<\/a>, and these <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ikea.com\/us\/en\/catalog\/products\/80153070\/\">chrome-and-faux-leather Bernhard chairs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. I don&#8217;t know how more people don&#8217;t know about <a href=\"https:\/\/deciem.com\/\">Deciem<\/a>. It&#8217;s been my go-to skincare haunt as of late; not only do they stock unique brands, but they&#8217;re all\u00a0<em>crazy\u00a0<\/em>affordable. The Ordinary (one of the brands stocked by Deciem)\u00a0is easily the greatest discovery I&#8217;ve made yet. Serums are priced at $5.80 to just under $10 (I know), and the best part? They work. I&#8217;ll report on specific products at a later date, but for now, I&#8217;ll leave you with this nugget. Get the <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3wNAPUX\">Advanced Retinoid 2%<\/a>. It has completely revived and transformed my skin overnight back its early 20-something, <a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/24-things-learned-24\/\">pre-adulthood phase<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. Trump won. I&#8217;m still ill, and I&#8217;m still angry, but after two days surrounded by incredibly company, <a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/the-future-is-female\/\">I&#8217;m inspired to do my part in contributing to the conversation<\/a> and giving back in a way that&#8217;s real (and not just me typing behind some screen).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5.
