I bought a condo<\/a>\u2014and now that means I have to decorate it.<\/p>\n

The furnishing comes first, of course (I’ve done most of my staples-shopping at Ikea<\/a>), but the next step is turning this new space into a home. I’m still feeling it out; I’m lucky enough where the previous owner completely redid the place before selling it, and while it’s not\u00a0exactly<\/em> my style, it’s work-able. It’s all white. Tons of lighting. Small, but looks a little bigger thanks to light wood floors and warm white walls.<\/p>\n

Where to start? How to begin?<\/p>\n

I’ve been saving tons of images as points of inspiration, and these are my favorites thus far.\u00a0And though my aesthetic is pretty consistent, I’m at a forked road where I’m not sure who I am or what I\u00a0really<\/em> like. Let me explain: I gravitate towards two vibes that though similar, are different enough. One is cool (as in the color palette): tons of white, light greys, and black to ground; some sort of muted color (pink, likely); minimal texture; clean lines offset by a little bit of glam. Think: streamlined, deep-set couches, acrylic tables and trays with soft gold accents, magazines and books arranged as decor; clusters of art arranged haphazardly on walls or framed and left on the floor; mauve and grey Mongolian sheepskin accents. Not perfect, but lived in. The other speaks to my creative, boho side: white walls and moulding contrasted with reclaimed wood floors and accents; cozy shags and kilim rugs; tons of art (again) juxtaposed by a large, minimalist mirror and modern couch.<\/p>\n
