If most designers this season were future-minded, Conner Ives<\/strong><\/a> was of the moment. Mood, mindset, and energy of 2022 (inspired by a Gen Z anti-establishment philosophy) are captured perfectly\u2014profoundly, even\u2014in Ives’ fall collection. There’s kitsch and a tiny bit of camp thrown in, which is just<\/em> what our wardrobes needed after these past two years.<\/p>\n

The message? Fashion isn’t that serious, and you don’t need permission to play. (They’re just <\/em>clothes, you know?)<\/p>\n

And while scrolling through each look, I couldn’t help but think: these are\u00a0exactly<\/em> the kind of outfits that our favorite sex columnist, Carrie Bradshaw, would throw on while attempting to clean her kitchen (see look 14 and substitute it for bog-standard rubber gloves) or run out the door in a very hot, rather summery, New York minute. Can’t you see it?<\/p>\n
