1. I’ve had\u2014without hyperbole\u2014the best shopping month of my life. Hedonistic to a fault, yes, but who am I to resist the stylish wiles of the best of L.A. vintage before me? I don’t believe in mindless hauls but I do<\/em> live for a curated show-and-tell (this is the position I’m taking)… although! If it never presents itself to the Internet, will it be like I’ve never really<\/em> spent money at all? Credit card statements don’t lie, and neither does a burgeoning wardrobe (and dresser, and shelving unit)\u2014but the stories that we tell ourselves eventually become our sacred truths…<\/p>\n

2. I simply cannot go a week without Chaumont Vegan<\/a>‘s egg and dukkah croissant sandwich. That, with their side salad (drizzled with lemon and olive oil) is just *chef’s kiss.*<\/em><\/p>\n

3. It’s hard to believe that I once dedicated 12 weeks to reading one book a day<\/a> (this was peak quarantine), only to now pick up a book\u00a0exclusively<\/em> when I’m on a plane, waiting for it to take flight. But alas! I’m finally reading again. I’ll share the one that got me excited about turning pages again, soon.<\/p>\n

4. Also new to me is the NuFace. I picked up a mini<\/a> (in the sweetest ballet Barbie pink) during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale; the jury’s still out, but to be clear, I’m not expecting any miracles. If you have thin skin (elastic still, but perhaps experiencing less bounce than you remember having in your 20s) or a naturally defined bone structure (square or heart-shaped faces), you’ll likely get the instant gratification chiseled effect making its round on TikTok. For rounder faces (like mine) or those with thicker skin (more collagen, namely), changes aren’t visible.<\/p>\n

It just feels<\/em> like something is happening, you know?<\/p>\n

5. Speaking of Barbie pink. Barbie<\/em> is the best thing I’ve seen all year. Maybe of my entire adult life\u2014top five, for certain. Part of me feels sorry for those who don’t get it, but I also don’t care enough to explain: this one is for the girls. (Not that I know anyone who didn’t understand\u2014and adore\u2014the film to date. A flex!) And if you’re fascinated by Barbie (the Mattel toy), this book from my one-book-a-day spree was a brilliant read<\/a>.<\/p>\n
