Daniel Lee’s legacy lives on; Bottega still can do no wrong even as the house introduces newer interpretations of Lee’s cult-favorite designs.<\/p>\n

This is the shoe of a woman who’s got her life together. Gauche as though it may be, I’ve never met a patent shoe I didn’t love even when it fell out of favor with the fashionable, and I’ll have you know: Bottega makes the most comfortable mules on the market. (Manolos are the go-to for stilettos and sandals!) This with a baggy pair of jeans\u2014haphazardly cuffed at the ankles\u2014and the perfect white tee<\/a>, giant intrecciato Hop hobo slung on the shoulders? Give me a second to toss in my trusty laptop and I’ll see you at my neighborhood coffee shop while researching my next perfume piece<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I was lucky enough to receive a bottle last week and though I had no expectations (except a vague idea based on the preview of notes), my<\/em> god<\/em> was I blown away. If you love D.S. & DURGA\u00a0Steamed Rainbow<\/em><\/a> as much as I do<\/span><\/a>, but like me, dream of a richer, dirtier juice for evening\u2014Vixi<\/a> satiates before it completely envelops. It’s the newest addition to the Trudon fragrance line\u2014a “luminous ode to life” according to the brand\u2014and though I understand the olfactory journey, it’s the groundedness post-bloom that resonates most. There’s clarity that comes from the fresh, vegetal flash at first spritz, but the moment it settles with skin is when Vixi shines.<\/p>\n

I’ve been a fan of Jacquemus<\/a> even before the Chiquito<\/em><\/span><\/a> reached Pinterest virality (which,\u00a0yes<\/em>, fits the necessities) and am lucky enough to be able to treat myself to a ready-to-wear piece each year. I gravitate towards the same silhouettes\u2014I’m a creature of habit, dogged in her tastes\u2014and this is among the best that Simon reimagines in every collection. The juxtaposition of the sharp and soft, masculine and feminine, is something I adore about his point of view and this cropped blazer from “Le Chouchou” is no exception. This just might be the one that I add to the wardrobe…<\/p>\n

Current-season Loewe<\/span><\/a> continues to be another favorite for handbags. Everyone knows the Puzzle<\/a>, the Puzzle’s foldable origami sister<\/span><\/a>, and now the bracelet bag<\/a><\/span> (which I adore<\/span><\/a>)\u2014but the Flamenco<\/em> is one that deserves the limelight. It’s simple, arguably DIY-able by anyone skilled with a sewing machine, and still I love it for the same reasons I’m determined to start a collection of Bottega Veneta Pouches<\/em><\/a>. Throw the\u00a0Flamenco<\/em> under your arm and it’s equal parts effortless and practical (my favorite kind of confluence), ideal for commuting into the city when you want to look put together and still have room for a book plus a change of shoes.<\/p>\n
