I’ve been trying to put together my office and have yet to find a rug more perfect than the Nordic Knots Tigris<\/em><\/a>. I’m particular with prints (this seventies zebra-tiger hybrid is one I’ve had on my mind for years but never could quite find) and even more so with shades of beige. This one is just right: not too warm, not too white, and perhaps just saturated enough to withstand the test of time.<\/p>\n

I need another pair of pointed-toe heels like a fish needs a bicycle (not to mention, I did just admit to being an introvert who prefers staying in)\u2014but I can’t resist a Bottega shoe. Friends will know that I wax poetic about Bottega mules and Manolo heels<\/a> like I’m shilling footwear for both brands (I’m not, I wish); they’re the most comfortable and well-crafted shoes on the market. Now, the Alfie<\/a>? The shape alone is telling: it’s a mule made for walking, and the sculptural details\u2014the intrecciato weave and curved heel\u2014make this a work of art.<\/p>\n

Alessi Pliss\u00e9<\/em> Kettle<\/a>, $125<\/p><\/div>\n

There’s a theme, I’m beginning to realize. (The Bottega heel is the only outlier since I’m a staunch keeper of a shoe-free home.) When it comes to boiling water, I’m rather analog\u2014always loyal to a stovetop kettle\u2014but my Fellow<\/a> looks a little worse for wear. I’m due for a new one soon and as a longtime admirer of Alessi<\/a> design, it only feels right to upgrade. Pliss\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0is<\/em> my favorite texture, and an electric kettle means that I could have hot water at my fingertips (so long as I’m near an outlet). If I’m in the middle of writing but need a refill, I can keep editing uninterrupted.<\/p>\n

Which means theoretically, this would be another necessity for maximizing productivity and self-care.<\/p>\n
