Drop it off or if they live far, box the tome in pink tissue before shipping off.<\/li>\n<li>Start collecting <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4tzW6jg\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">vintage Valentine&#8217;s Day cards<\/span><\/a>. Save them for friends and lovers next year, or use them to write notes to your future self. Scatter the cards between books in your to-be-read pile, sweaters in a drawer, and in handbags you haven&#8217;t worn in a while.<\/li>\n<li>Buy a pair of <a href=\"https:\/\/pleasershoes.com\/products\/poise-501fbsam\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">feathered heels<\/span><\/a>. Pleaser makes my favorites by far; I&#8217;m partial to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pleasershoes.com\/products\/poise-501fbsam\"><em>Poise<\/em><\/a> from their Fabulicious line, but the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pleasershoes.com\/products\/amour-03rpu?_pos=3&amp;_psq=fabulicious+amour&amp;_ss=e&amp;_v=1.0\"><em>Amour<\/em>&#8216;s shorter heel<\/a><\/span> may be more sensible. (I, however, adore the towering possibilities of fantasy.)<\/li>\n<li>Visit a lingerie store that encourages dress-up and understands the importance of fit. <a href=\"https:\/\/leboudoirlosangeles.com\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Le Boudoir<\/span><\/a> in Echo Park is a recent discovery and swift favorite of mine, but classics like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agentprovocateur.com\/\">Agent Provocateur<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/us.honeybirdette.com\/\">Honey Birdette<\/a> are just as welcoming. Try on matching sets\u2014complete with garter belts and stockings\u2014or gorgeous robes with their designated slips. Fanciful underpinnings are reminders that we&#8217;re creatures of desire and worthy of adornment\u2014living, breathing, <em>beautiful<\/em> things. If you find something that feels delicious on, take it home.<\/li>\n<li>Read someone&#8217;s diary. Virginia Woolf&#8217;s, if you&#8217;re feeling contemplative; Ana\u00efs Nin&#8217;s for sexy, sensual prose; Eve Hesse&#8217;s if you want a frenzied and fabulous stream of consciousness. <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/4rtbFIb\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em>The Pillow Book<\/em> of Sei Sh\u014dnagon<\/span><\/a> is beautiful, and while we wait with bated breath for the publication of Eve Babitz&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.penguinrandomhouse.com\/books\/796345\/too-la-by-eve-babitz-edited-and-annotated-by-lili-anolik\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">unsent letters<\/span><\/a>, her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/letters-essays\/8449\/journal-1969-1970-eve-babitz\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">journal entries in<\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/letters-essays\/8449\/journal-1969-1970-eve-babitz\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Paris Review<\/span><\/a> <\/em>will satiate the need to know more about her colorful life.<\/li>\n<li>Play with perfumes! Revisit your collection or pop into a fragrance boutique. (I&#8217;m currently wearing <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.luckyscent.com\/products\/centerfold-by-hollywood-gifts\">Hollywood Gifts\u00a0<em>Centerfold<\/em><\/a><\/span>, but would swap for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kheirfragrances.com\/products\/7-minutes\">Kheir <em>7 Minutes<\/em><\/a><\/span> if I wanted to be irresistibly sweet.
