1. How is it June already? I suppose I’m the only one to blame for letting the year slip by. There was a time when the world was<\/em>, reportedly, spinning faster<\/span><\/a> than it once did\u2014but about a week ago, Forbes<\/em> reported that Earth’s rotation is slowing<\/a><\/span> due to climate change. At fault: human contribution, though only 48% of people acknowledge it.<\/p>\n

2. I must read like a broken record, so perpetually in awe in every other post that the gratitude might reek of saccharinity. But if you\u2019ve been following for a while now (or ever feel like perusing the 18-year archive), I think you can tell that I’m living a life I once dreamt of. Granted: The fashion, beauty, and media landscape has transformed into a near-unrecognizable state since I was a kid\u2014and yet!<\/em> I’m a few toes in, and beyond working within the industry, I\u2019m given opportunities a million girls would kill for.<\/p>\n

3. For example, I somehow ended up on the guest list of a Chanel event<\/span><\/a> last week, surrounded by women I’ve long looked up to, wearing pieces from my\u00a0personal<\/em> collection. From Coach to\u00a0Chanel!\u00a0<\/em>I’ll always have a soft spot for the former, but my teenage self would be floored that I own\u00a0the<\/em><\/span> heels from Matthieu Blazy’s debut collection<\/span><\/a> as creative director.<\/p>\n

4. Perhaps even more astonishing (to me at least), was finding myself after hours at The Row DTLA for the launch of Puma x Salehe Bembury’s collection<\/a> ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. I was kindly gifted a jersey (the now sold-out Ghanaian goalkeeper one<\/span><\/a>) and sneakers, and was excited to style it. Low-slung black trousers (typical), Gia Borghini stilettos (now sold out, but another predictable move), big earrings (from J\u00e9 Blanc<\/a>, also old, and also<\/em> expected from me). Nothing groundbreaking\u2014my style is quite simple\u2014but any opportunity to bring out this beaded Dries Van Noten bag<\/a>, especially when it matches perfectly<\/em>, is thrilling enough. It’s an explosion of color and texture: silver baubles as a handle; a jacquard body embellished with yellow, lime, and peach beads. It was love at first sight when I spotted it in the archive room at the Dries Van Noten boutique.<\/p>\n

5. As a serial outfit repeater, I’m excited to share that these Kith shorts<\/span><\/a> are my latest sartorial fixation. They’re quite plain\u2014basic even\u2014but the cut gives a swing in the leg that lends this satisfying, flattering ease. Any top will do, and the shorts allow for versatility in the shoe department. Kitten-heeled sandals<\/a><\/span> are my favorite pairing right now, but I can’t wait to bring out a stiletto boot come fall.<\/p>\n
