Wore one of my favorite The Line by K<\/a> dresses to attend a garden party hosted by LBTY. Fragrances<\/a>. It was a beautiful afternoon filled with the most darling activities\u2014all of which were curated for a bit of British flair and dappled in Liberty prints. Loveliest of all, however, was learning more about the fragrance collection, a line I’ve only dabbled in over the years. A favorite factoid: Many have assumed that the disemvowelment was for cool factor (a trend that has since lost its novelty)\u2014when really, “LBTY.” was taken from the original maker’s mark stamped on archival jewelry. The perfumes may be newer, but they’re intended to be steeped in heritage. We were told that actual prints inform the creation of each fragrance composition, serving as both moodboard and brief. Of course, I’m sure trend still plays a heavy role in the testing phase\u2014it’s impossible to be profitable in this world, or relevant at the very least, without engaging in the game\u2014but as a starting point, it’s romantic and rather Old World.<\/p>\n

But press tidbits aside (and the fact that I’m pretty sure my tag was out the entire time, per photographic evidence), I did fall in love with\u00a0Tana Meadow<\/em><\/a>. Perhaps it was the heat, the sun\u2014or the heat of<\/em> the moment\u00a0in<\/em> the sun, surrounded by lush greenery and dreamy flora wearing the loveliest of cotton dresses\u2014but I was swayed by its sweetness. For the girls who have graduated from Parfums de Marly\u00a0Delina Exclusif<\/em><\/a> and love Nobile 1942 La Danza delle Libelelle<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Tana Meadow<\/em> is like their sunlit sister. There’s a touch of coconut that helps cut the pinkness of it all, plus a warm musk that allows the floral menagerie to settle beautifully on skin. It’s rather addictive, especially if you want to smell pretty\u2014with a capital P.<\/p>\n
