Of the French language, meaning \u201cnow,\u201d \u201cat the moment,\u201d and perfectly suitable for a[n American] culture which thrives upon this idea of <em>instant gratification<\/em> and living for now, for better or for worse. Live for the present and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-2J\" target=\"_blank\">appreciate everything of the moment<\/a> can easily become something where we become apathetic towards anything that doesn\u2019t affect us. Read: the environment, patching up the economy\/Social Security issues, etc. We let it be. If it\u2019s not hurting us, why bother?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I digress. I started this little series way back for <a href=\"http:\/\/lacouturiernyc.wordpress.com\/category\/maintenant\/\"><em>La Couturier<\/em><\/a>, and decided to bring it back due to the positive response I received after its commencement. In short it\u2019s like a comprehensive form of Twitter; whatever ramblings and updates on my life, my current obsessions, things I love, stuff I dub noteworthy. All the while writing. But as nice as it is to sleep in my own bed and have my car at my perusal to make me feel less caged within the bubble of college life (ironic, isn\u2019t it, and I\u2019m at a massive university\u2026), I\u2019m going to miss the independence I have at college. Already missing it, and it\u2019s only been five hours since I left. Looking forward to Sunday\u2026<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Recently made the switch to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bareescentuals.com\/on\/demandware.store\/Sites-BareEscentuals-Site\/default\/TryBareMinerals-Show?brandId=BM&amp;site=254&amp;cm_mmc=Google-_-New_G_BM_-_Brand_-_Alone-_-Bare_Minerals_-_Alone-_-bare%20minerals_Exact_Match\">Bare Escentuals Mineral Makeup<\/a> at the recommendation of my roommate, and I\u2019m in love. Apparently it\u2019s one of those love-hate things, with no in-betweens; I\u2019d suggest you all to try it though! I used to be a liquid foundation girl\u2014Revlon\u2019s Colorstay offered fantastic coverage, finishing texture, and lasting power for my 14-hour days or nights of dancing in sweaty crowds\u2014and never thought I\u2019d get used to mineral makeup. I. Love. It. My skin\u2019s improved drastically since (I have oily\/combination skin), the coverage is excellent, and the finish is so natural.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">I think I\u2019ve put together (and found!) one of the best party playlists. Club music, house, and, of course, R&amp;B Hip-hop.
