Shouting it. <em>Two-thousand-twelve!<\/em> Thinking it. Writing it. They say this about every new year, especially during it&#8217;s honeymoon stage (it <em>is<\/em>\u00a0only the third of January)\u00a0but there&#8217;s something about this year which makes it different. Delicious. Expecting, and ready to burst. And no, it&#8217;s not just because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qzU9OrZlKb8&amp;ob=av2e\" target=\"_blank\">Britney has a song about it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Everything&#8217;s different, but the same. <em>Better<\/em>. Like there&#8217;s something in the air, drifting, waiting for us to catch just even the slightest whiff and take off from there. The Mayans said this is the world would end, but with every ending comes a beginning. It&#8217;s all a matter of interpretation. Is the glass half empty, or half full?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I&#8217;ll be honest\u2014I&#8217;ve put off writing here simply because there&#8217;s a large amount pressure\u2014be it self-imagined or not\u2014in publishing the first piece of the new year. It sets the tone for what&#8217;s to come, how it&#8217;ll start. A superstition? Perhaps. It&#8217;s the only of many I&#8217;ll ever believe.\u00a0<em>Put your best foot forward<\/em>, as the saying goes, but aren&#8217;t you supposed to <em>always<\/em>\u00a0walk that way?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Like I said. Self-inflicted pressure. (I&#8217;ve been doing more Pilates in an attempt to avoid the subject.) A list of my resolutions? It&#8217;s a pity I don&#8217;t believe in them; it would have made quite the easy transition post. Then again, I don&#8217;t like easy, it&#8217;s no fun. Trends? <a href=\"http:\/\/wp.me\/p6xDPX-1JP\" target=\"_blank\">I wear the same thing everyday<\/a>. I <em>could<\/em>\u00a0wax poetic about one of numerous things on my lust list, but I&#8217;d rather not begin 2012 with a bout of greed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So, in my usual roundabout way, I guess I&#8217;ll just send love to wherever and whomever.
