justify;\">I was flattered when\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.internships.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Internships.com<\/a>\u00a0asked if I would write a piece on the how-to\u2019s and what to wear\u2019s for their latest initiative,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.internships.com\/eyeoftheintern\/\" target=\"_blank\">Eye of the Intern<\/a>, a series published through their blog\u00a0highlighting professional dress for young men and women. It is imperative that all know how to dress both appropriately\u00a0<em>and<\/em>\u00a0still impress. However, some don\u2019t understand the importance of it, or simply\u00a0<em>don\u2019t know how<\/em>. It was after interning at a courthouse (it was appalling how many dressed not just for work, but to appear in court!) when\u00a0I was inspired to help women and men alike put their best face forward for that\u00a0<strong>first impression that makes all the difference<\/strong>. First appearances\u00a0<em>do<\/em>matter. It\u2019s unfortunate, but it\u2019s true. We make our best\u2014and sometimes most inaccurate\u2014judgement within the first few blinks. Let\u2019s make it count in our favor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kimberlypearl.co\/portfolio\/womens-fashion-basics-for-a-corporate-environment\/\" target=\"_blank\">Check out my guest article on how to dress for the corporate world, please!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Neons for spring and summer<\/strong>. If black is to every day and jeweltones is to autumn\/winter, then the only\u00a0<em>obvious\u00a0<\/em>and logical completion to my analogy is neons for the remainder of seasons. There\u2019s nothing like a contrast between beautifully bronzed skin and a bright pop of color. Currently loving brights on my nails and bathing suits! Next up on the list of things to try are bright pink and orange lips. When I\u2019m feeling adventurous, of course.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">My take on\u00a0<strong>comfort food<\/strong>\u00a0is as healthy as it is satisfying for those blah days and sweet tooth moments. A small bowl of mixed cereal, dry, containing equal parts of Cookie Crisps, Golden Grahams, and Kracklin\u2019 Oats.\u00a0<em>Miam!<\/em><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">There\u2019s nothing like\u00a0<strong>reading a magazine, cover to cover<\/strong>, curled up with the windows open on a beautiful day. I\u2019m revisiting my\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/defining-style-part-iii-tips-tricks-on-how-to-define-your-style-curb-those-impulse-buys\/\" target=\"_blank\">inspiration journal<\/a>, tearing out images which inspire me and articles of favorite journalists I wish to use as guidance for self-improvement.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">I\u2019ve completely forgotten that my birthday is tomorrow (April 5th); I was so kindly reminded by my friends (what would I do without them?). Anything huge in store? Not in particular. Or at all, for that matter. Both this week and the following will be incredibly stressful, chock full of deadlines, classes until the wee hours of the night, and exams. I\u2019ll take any excuse to live and breathe coffee, though.\u00a0<strong>A night out dancing would have been ideal<\/strong>, but I doubt there\u2019s time for that.\u00a0<em>C\u2019est dommage<\/em>.
