Surely you know me well enough by now that I would never dictate, in the fashion\/trend- sense, what is <em>supposedly<\/em> &#8220;in&#8221; and &#8220;out&#8221;. Taste and style is unique\u2014it is simply a matter of personal aesthetics and perspective. Should we all take to hear the &#8220;ins&#8221; and &#8220;outs&#8221; then the world would be one large mass of much-too-similar drones. And that, my dears, would be a sign of the apocalypse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Instead I take a different approach: my personal &#8220;ins&#8221; (similar to my now-retired &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/tag\/things-i-love-2\/\">Things I Love Thursday<\/a>&#8221; feature), obsessions, etc. of the moment (the hour, the day, the week, the month, etc.\u2014it all depends on my mood of course) and the &#8220;outs&#8221; (a mild form that allows me to vent! One look at the cover and I know it is one of their best issues yet.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Blogging for POP Magazine makes me feel quite official; do check out my latest post, titled <em><a href=\"http:\/\/lacouturier.thepop.com\/2009\/08\/27\/unwritten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Unwritten<\/a><\/em>!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently inspired by these holy grail blogs: <em>Caroline&#8217;s Mode<\/em>, <em>Tarutuomi<\/em>, <em>Swank Heights<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Sea of Shoes<\/em>, <em>Blushing Ambition<\/em>, <em>Lollipop26 Writes<\/em>, and <em>Living Doll<\/em>. I check them obsessively to the point of <i>unhealthy<\/i>\u00a0obsessively (or is there even a difference?).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Olivia Palermo; I absolutely adore her style. I think I would fall into criminal methods to own her entire wardrobe. Imagine!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Watching makeup gurus&#8217; tutorials and haul videos on Youtube! My favorites are Laura of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/lollipop26\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lollipop26<\/a> (I adore her style, her makeup, and her British accent!) and Richie Nickel of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/whatstyleistonickel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">What Style is to Nickel<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Black eyeliner, smokey brown\/forest green eyes, and MAC lipsticks with a mauve undertone. My favorite and signature makeup look on the occasion that I <em>do<\/em> wear makeup.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <em>Twilight<\/em> series. I have (rather lately) succumbed to the entire world&#8217;s fanaticism with the saga. I must admit that I do find Robert Pattinson&#8217;s bad boy meets grunge look rather sexy, Taylor Lautner adorably sexy, and the rest of the Cullen boys damn attractive. Not a fan of the books (as they are hardly literary masterpieces), but the movie was quite fun. Am I looking forward to <em>New Moon<\/em>? \u00a0<strong>Y e s<\/strong> would be an understatement.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zone Perfect Dark chocolate nutrition bars are the most <em>delicious<\/em> things \u00a0e v e r ! They are my [healthy] guilty pleasure of choice whether after dance or if I am simply too lazy to make lunch (it requires going up the stairs).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Leaving my hair in its natural state. A.k.a. and unpredictable mass of waves whose magnitude of kink-age depends upon the weather&#8217;s calling. I quite like the messy, bed-hair look, I must admit. And I happen to be too lazy in the summer to do anything to my hair.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">[Virgin] Strawberry Dacquiri&#8217;s during the heat waves are the most perfect alternative to plain, boring old water. (The only illegal act I&#8217;ve ever committed was jaywalking.)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hellooooo, s e n i o r \u00a0y e a r ! I&#8217;ve only been waiting for graduation my whole life, so by golly, I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s time.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Football season! It truly is the most exciting (and fun!) season for dance team, so hurrah for that! \u00a0B u t \u00a0I&#8217;m not too keen on having &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qmUW5wEFgmU&amp;feature=related\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">On Wisconsin<\/a>&#8221; run through my head endlessly without mercy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>what&#8217;s {OUT}<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Still waiting for my two <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chickdowntown.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chickdowntown<\/a> prizes I won weeks ago (one from <em>Le Flassh<\/em>, the other from <em>Style du Jour<\/em>). I do hope they arrive soon so that I can stop my \u00a0c h i l d i s h \u00a0antics in checking my front steps for any packages at five p.m. every day! (: (My dearest mum laughs at me every time she catches me peeking out the windows of our front door.)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">I am rather frustrated when removing glitter nail polish\u2014the task is nearly impossible! (Note to self: Avoid all glitter nail polish, regardless of how adorable a thin stripe of it looks on a French manicure.)<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">School starts in less than a week&#8217;s time. J-O-Y. Let the college applications and SAT stress and workload begin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>What are your &#8220;in&#8217;s&#8221; and &#8220;outs&#8221; for the month? Surely you know me well enough by now that I would never dictate, in the fashion\/trend- sense, what is supposedly &#8220;in&#8221; and &#8220;out&#8221;. Taste and style is unique\u2014it is simply a matter of personal aesthetics and perspective. Should we all take to hear the &#8220;ins&#8221; and &#8220;outs&#8221; then the world would be one large mass of much-too-similar drones. And that, my dears, would be a sign of the apocalypse. Instead I take a different approach: my personal &#8220;ins&#8221; (similar to my now-retired &#8220;Things I Love Thursday&#8221; feature), obsessions, etc. of the moment (the hour, the day, the week, the month, etc.\u2014it all depends on my mood of course) and the &#8220;outs&#8221; (a mild form that allows me to vent!
