So remember that whole controversy surrounding\u00a0\u201cthe Blogger\u201d<\/a>\u00a0dress by Modcloth? The one that looked like a frumpy sack or hospital gown (that actually covered the bum)? The one that infuriated the blogosphere of fashion\u00a0bloggettes<\/em>\u00a0world-wide, who fumed and foamed at the mouth, offended at the suggestion that\u2014gasp!\u2014<\/em>they could be portrayed fashioning posts in something less than\u00a0Jak and Jil<\/a>\u00a0worthy? \u201cThe Editor\u201d dress (your standard LBD), they said, was far more appropriate.<\/p>\n

I mean it\u2019s\u00a0fugly<\/a><\/em>\u00a0to say the least. That I cannot deny. Perhaps I\u2019m biased because I don\u2019t carry grandma-chic very well (I\u2019m sure some blogger could whip up some ensemble including Rodarte tights and creepers and have it be sartorial worthy).<\/p>\n

Not that I\u2019m any better, though. As much as I\u2019d love to say that I type away furiously with freshly painted nails (actually<\/em>\u00a0true, currently sporting Revlon\u2019s Minted as an ode to the spring-y weather because I\u2019m borderline OCD with my nails) in a\u00a0RM by Roland Mouret<\/a>\u00a0number, legs crossed to show off a pair of shiny, 4.5-inch patent pumps. Perhaps in a\u00a0caf\u00e9\u00a0or some public setting I\u2019d whip up something more, uh,chic<\/em>. Ankle boots, black skinnies, blouse or a tank and leather jacket. Nothing too extravagant or snap-worthy.<\/p>\n

But most of my writing is done cross-legged on my bed. It\u2019s not that glamorous, I promise you. Bangs clipped back with the slightest bouffant in an attempt to make sophisticated the ponytail sprouting from the top of my head. Little tanks and yoga pats are my uniform. Did you expect something more fabulous? I apologize. At least I\u2019d look positively adorable running straight to the gym or outside for my own rendition of bikram yoga. Either way, it\u2019s still one step up from the frumpy hospital gown.\u00a0Victoria\u2019s Secret<\/a>\u2014no surprise there\u2014makes the perfect little outfits for my blogging sessions.<\/p>\n

So yes.\u00a0I confess:\u00a0I have a fashion blog, writing about the importance of style as I sit cross-legged in\u00a0gym<\/em><\/del>\u00a0yoga\/dance clothes<\/a>. It\u2019s the epitome of chic and hypocrisy, is it not? After all, I\u2019m only human.<\/p>\n
