Loubette Clutch; $1,395 Net-a-Porter<\/p><\/div>\n

Christian Louboutin. The very name itself causes every woman to orgasm, each and every one lusting rather passionately\u00a0after a pair of those lipstick-red soled heels. The\u00a0brand evokes\u00a0everything glamorous, luxurious, and of course, expensive. But\u00a0what to\u00a0give to own a pair of those gorgeous heels or boots – that is the question on every woman’s minds. On my mind too of course – I do plan to save for a\u00a0pair of those\u00a0wondrous suede booties\u00a0or a pair of the classic pumps (it is too difficult of a decision to decide!).<\/p>\n

Like every design house, Louboutin expanded to bags; some of which were quite horrific or perhaps alien\/armadillo like, much like this one here<\/a>. This Loubette, snow-leopard printed clutch, however, is quite the opposite. It’s glamorous, a bit edgy, completely adorable, and just so Louboutin! Perhaps it was the leopard print that reeled me in; I do have a thing for anything in such a print. Whereas this specific animal print has the potential to look tacky on bags, it only adds to the beauty of the clutch! The shape of the clutch is so classic and very lady-like; these pleats here (unlike the first) are truly sophisticated. The thick, slightly antiquated chain adds a bit of an edgy quality to the bag. My favorite part? The clasp. Of course Louboutin added the iconic patent pumps, red soles and all. It’s addition is arguable; bagsnob ladies say it’s a bit tacky or too much, but I must admit, I love it. The shoes just make it a bit more playful, less serious, and kitschy.<\/p>\n

\"Giuseppe<\/a><\/p>\n

As for other obsessions of the time-being, following this theme of black & white…\u00a0I’m in love with anything embellished with crystals at the moment, thanks to Balmain’s SS ’09\u00a0Collection. This\u00a0Giuseppe Zanotti Booties\u00a0(net-a-porter<\/a>) definitely\u00a0are a work of art, in its\u00a0architecture, silhouette, and embellishment. The patent leather is\u00a0simply beautiful; the added mirror mosaic pieces and\u00a0crystals in brown, yellow, and blue\u00a0add a bit more dimension and\u00a0geometric quality to the otherwise smooth shoe – it also serves as a pop of color.\u00a0But it is too beautiful to wear…I personally would be so afraid to scuff the patent beauty or\u00a0would fear losing a precious\u00a0crystal and\u00a0display it behind a glass beauty, just for admirational purposes. The occasional ooh-ing & ahh-ing. No touching, please.<\/p>\n

\"Alexander<\/a><\/p>\n

And that Alexander McQueen ($5720, net-a-porter<\/a>). More ooh-ing & ahh-ing. I absolutely love it; the fit, the shape, the color. It is perhaps the most unique LBD in silhouette that is still wearable to a cocktail party (much unlike the LBD’s seen on Balenciaga’s runway…perhaps my eye hasn’t yet been accustomed to the “art” and “beauty” of the\u00a0Fall ’08 pieces, but a great majority of those dresses & jackets were possibly the most unflattering and unpleasant silhouettes ever…) Before I completely digress and come off topic, back to the Side Peplum dress. The sweetheart neckline is beautiful, very dainty and feminine. The sides are such ingenious additions: such shapes enhance the hourglass figure we all sweat for during pilates, in a bit of an exaggerated yet still wearable manner. It adds a sort of structure and masculinity to balance the femininity that comes with the typical LBD.<\/div>\n

I love them. Yes, their grungy look\u00a0seems a bit sloppy at times (perhaps that\u00a0is an understatement). Nonetheless, they will be a style icon no matter what (although I had once doubted this potential). Haters must admit though, that the Olsens are the only girls who can pull off the tackiest vintage dresses and still manage to look chic. Who else could wear a black cape and still look fabulous?<\/p>\n

I am dying to get my hands on their new book, Influence<\/em>. I do hope it focuses more on fashion than celebrity musings.<\/div>\n
And yet another, fully coordinated, black & red color palette? The Obama family. The stylish, intelligent (my new idol) Michelle Obama donned a Narciso Rodriguez dress right off the runway with kitten heels and a shrug. The whole family followed the color scheme as well. \ud83d\ude42 Helloooo, change<\/strong>.<\/div>\n
