And\u00a0<em>mes <\/em><em>ch\u00e9ries,<\/em> I have not abandoned you; it would be quite rude of me to do so, <em>non<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The past few weeks have been hectic, and it\u2019s slowed down just enough for me to re-organize and re-collect myself. Unfortunately this\u00a0<em>\u00fcber<\/em>-mini break is only temporary, ending with Memorial weekend. Do note, however, that\u00a0I say hectic in the most positive way; I intentionally [over-]book my calendar because of my <em>need<\/em> to always be doing something. I&#8217;m quite restless\u2014sitting at home with nothing to do is perhaps the worst punishment you could ever inflict upon me. If sleeping was not crucial in maintaining my sanity (and livelihood), I would have forsaken the act completely. Nearly half of our lives are spent snoring in rumpled sheets\u2014half the day has gone to waste! So many things could be done during that time&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But I digress. I&#8217;ve been on the go, jet-setting within a twenty-mile radius of my hometown for dance crew practices, a local dance competition, recording session and video shoot for an awards ceremony, dancing, and working on my latest internship assignments. And I kinda sorta love that lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">My latest gig? Working as the <strong>fashion editorial intern<\/strong> for Michael Ardan, creator of a brand-spankin&#8217;-new digital magazine, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.plastermag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PLASTER<\/a><\/em>. The premier issue just debuted earlier this week; do <a href=\"http:\/\/issuu.com\/plastermag\/docs\/june-2010\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">read it here<\/a> and subscribe to get future issues (it&#8217;s free!). I&#8217;m also <a href=\"http:\/\/plaster-mag.blogspot.com\/search\/label\/Kim\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contributing weekly to the magazine&#8217;s blog<\/a>\u2014I&#8217;m inescapable, so it seems. (; It&#8217;s all quite different and exciting!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/issuu.com\/plastermag\/docs\/june-2010\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4239\" title=\"plastermag\" src=\"http:\/\/lacouturiernyc.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/05\/plastermag.jpg?resize=355%2C457\" alt=\"\" width=\"355\" height=\"457\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Even more exciting than this new internship (if at all possible) is this: I&#8217;ve been\u00a0<strong>PUBLISHED<\/strong> in\u00a0<em>Plaster<\/em> Magazine\u2019s debut issue! That means it&#8217;s imperative you lovely darlings check it out!\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/issuu.com\/plastermag\/docs\/june-2010\">\u201cNew York State of Mind,\u201d pages 60-73<\/a> by yours truly. Words, styling, &amp; collages, reminiscent of my <a href=\"http:\/\/kimberlypearl.co\/blog\/tag\/petite-novella\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">petite novella<\/a> days. All me,<em> mes ch\u00e9ries<\/em>. I cannot help but be giddy with excitement; I&#8217;ve only been <a href=\"http:\/\/lacouturiernyc.wordpress.com\/2009\/02\/07\/ive-been-published\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published twice before <\/a>back in the day when I interned for Dujour Magazine, but wait. <em>Me<\/em><em>?<\/em> <em>My<\/em> work, <em>my<\/em> writing, <em>my<\/em> styling for such a long spread? I didn&#8217;t think my first assignment would actually make it to the publication, but it <em>did<\/em>. Read up, and let me know what you think!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So say hello to their fashion editorial intern! I realize that <em>PLASTER<\/em>&#8216;s entire aesthetic seems totally\u00a0<em>un<\/em>-me style-wise (if you&#8217;ve been following <em>La Couturier<\/em> or know me in real life), but I do love it. I love the edgy, provocative take on life and fashion, and its dedication to being ec0-friendly (<em>Plaster <\/em>is a completely paperless fashion and lifestyle magazine representing a new era of magazine publishing for the digital age!).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Fashion is fun.
